spore works with any autoclave, any brand, keeping each load connected to its cycle, packages, monitoring results and the team members responsible.
For supported W&H Lexa configurations, spore also brings the machine's cycle report into the load record, including temperature, pressure and exposure time.
Biological monitoring

Record each biological indicator from incubation to result, including lot number, incubation start time, incubation end time, control result, test result and who read it.

The spore label
Every package carries its own record.
Each spore label identifies the practice, sterilizer, cycle, date and package, with its own unique code.
Printed as both a QR code and plain text, the package can still be identified without needing to look anything up.
Frequently asked questions
What equipment do I need?
spore requires an iPad, a supported thermal label printer and a 2D scanner. Chairside scanning uses a browser on your existing operatory computer or tablet. We confirm equipment compatibility during setup.
Does spore work with my sterilizer?
spore can be used with any sterilizer for documenting your workflow. Machine cycle reports are available for supported W&H Lexa configurations. We confirm compatibility during setup.
What does setup involve?
We install spore, connect your compatible equipment and check that everything is working. Setup and ongoing support are included.
How are software updates handled?
Web updates are included. iPad updates are currently installed by our team during an arranged visit. Cloud storage, backups and ongoing support are included with your practice agreement.
What happens to my records if I cancel?
Your sterilization records can be exported in PDF and CSV formats for your practice to retain.
Does spore store patient information?
No. spore does not store patient information. It records sterilization records, operatories and the staff involved in the sterilization workflow.
Can I try spore before committing?
Yes. Approved dental practices get a 30-day pilot to use spore in their own practice before making a long-term commitment.
